My uncles have asked me to swap their 70 Cuda, not a numbers car but a beautiful car to start with.

I did the tkx swap in my challenger, and love it! No cutting! And easily handles the 600 plus ft lb tq

Taking my time I was able to get pretty much everything auto out of the car and started cutting the floor, hope to have the test fit done by the end of the weekend.

Anyone looking for auto parts?

When I cut my floor like yours to add the hump, I found that the floor remnant over the cross member was not welded to the cross member. I add some plug welds to fix it.

So in the rough/test fitting stage but coming along, I'll start removing parts this afternoon and start final measurements and adjustments to this kit.

As a side note, this is the second SST TKX I've dealt with in the last couple months and both shifter assemblies have had to had the mounting holes drilled out.

Nice work.

Did you make that bracket for the reservoir?
That was a SST part but im going to be making one for my car since I'm doing the same swap but with a different clutch hydraulic kit that didn't come with that bracket.

I'm using a full SST kit on this car, my car is only using their transmission with shifter assembly and i pieced the test together.

Like i stated earlier I've had to open the holes on the bolt on shifter assembly so it doesn't put a bind on the transmission case when fully bolted down.

I'm doing the SST kit as well and found the bolt holes in the shifter adapter needed to be reamed quite a bit to bolt-up.

Painted the clutch master reservoir bracket and the clutch master inside firewall bracket black.

Called up SST and ordered the driveshaft.

I'll start welding the transmission tunnel in tomorrow.

Tunnel welded and seam sealed, stated trimming the center console and decided to make a custom front bracket rather then take apart the stock auto shifter bracket

Center console front bracket made, got the surface rust on the floore wire wheeled and treated, re-sprayed the front floor pan lemon twist yellow and did under coating to seal the bottom of the car.

After triple checking the bellhousing housing runout and talking to SST I ordered .007 offset dowls, had fun tonight getting one out and will work on the other side tomorrow night.

What dial indicator do you have to check the run out?

I have 2 that were used but found it i don't trust the one i recieved from Summit due to the guage face being able to move after its locked down.

With that, i ended up making a base for my harbor freight guage that bolts to the crank, worked great.
