All, my 70 Challenger had a 727 AT transmission which i have removed because i am installing a TKO 5 speed from SST. The 727 has what i believe is a support bracket. if it makes a difference, the car has a 360 crate engine. i am trying to determine if i just remove the bracket or if it attaches to my new transmission? it seems to be attached to the block with a bolt. the bracket could have been for the quicksilver shifter that it had too.

thanks in advanced.

There should be 2 brackets, one on either side of the engine/transmission. I have removed them from auto trans cars and never had any issues. As toolmanmike said - they probably will not work with your TKO trans anyway.
