Camber bolts

Hi just wondering does it matter which way the camber bolts are fitted .Bolt head from engine bay side or vice versa.

My pictures of my 71 BHG before disassembly shows both adjusting bolts having the nut on the outside. Don't know if it makes a difference though.

If I remember correct, when I removed my upper control arms, I could not get a ratchet in the upper control arm wheel well area to loosen the bolts. I could only fit the ratchet through the access panels and a wrench in the upper control arm wheel well area. I think that is the reason for the orientation of the camber bolts.

I have always had the nuts in the engine bay & the heads in the wheel well .

Yes, heads on the inside and nuts to the outside.

Just found this in the FSM.

Yes, heads on the inside and nuts to the outside.

It makes it easier to do the alignment. Crack the nut and tighten back up. Just piss off the alignment guy and you get a bad job.

Years ago, I WAS the "alignment guy"! I never did a bad job though, too much riding on my work.
