I have a 1970 Challenger 383, 335 hp, manual, that prior owner put on a quadrajet; I now want to get back to a Holley 1460 and would appreciate vendor and cfm recommendations. Thanks

We have Woodruff Carburetors, as a site vendor that I hear good things about. Also, I hear great things about AED carbs.

Dave, welcome to the site from Michigan. You should go to the Welcome Wagon and introduce yourself and show us what you are working on.

Hi Dave, welcome!

As an FYI since you want to go to a Holley carb......Per Galen Govier's White Book of Chrysler's Part & Casting numbers, from the factory a 1970 Challenger with a 383 engine and manual transmission would have a Holley type 4160 4 BBL carburetor. The carb number was 4367 and this carb was used on both air conditioned and non air conditioned cars.

The best bang for the $$ has been Proform carbs , I would use a mechanical secondary 750
