changing evaporator core pull box???

so do i have to pull the whole heat box out to get the evaporator core out? That means nuts on engine side,pull blower moter,unhook heater core, ect, ect. thanks for any help

It will come out easier if you pull the whole thing out at one time. Remember when they assembled the car the heater/ a/c box was all together so all they had to do was hook up the studs through the firewall and connect the harness under the dash. It is better to take it out anyway. If you are keeping this car you will want to change the heater core and replace all the foam on the different doors and lube the levers and door pivots.
Have fun, its not as bad as you think.

Thanks Leo the wife said change the heater core to,i guess great minds think alike LOL. And yes i was bummed out about pulling the box, i just want to drive the car but whats another week or so.
