Deck Lid - Location of Emblems Questions

Guys,

The location of my original emblems on the deck lid are not even close to the Engineering Drawing. For example, drawing says 2.31". My actuals measure 3 5/8". The drawing says .81, mine are over 1.2".

Of course, my

deck lid may have been repainted in the 70's with the emblems put back on incorrectly.

Did the factory allow that much tolerance? Quality inspector take the day off? Please let me know what your cars measure.

I assumed my original was replaced at some point and was improperly installed. Looked at many on-line photos of other cars.

I went with the Engineering drawing. The drawing is really faded so hope its correct.

Finally got to put on the NOS emblems I bought in 1984 !!

Your placement looks good.
