Been a long while since I worked on cam replacements,
All ready to remove old camshaft. The sprocket will not separate from the cam itself.
Several coats of Krol, still solidly connected to end of cam
Looks to be a small metal slice in front of the sprocket?
This should not affect sprocket removal!

Thoughts appreciated
Phil

I recall changing them a few time and being stubborn. Even going on a precision fit.coming off the crank sprocket has to come off at the same time. I would put a bolt onto cam and a little pressure ( puller if you have one)and heat. backup the sprocket and give it a sharp smack. may have to do it a few times. try to get the crank sprocket moving. not sure what you saving . also you can take the cam plate bolts out and remove. can damage cam bearing if it matters.
