dipstick wrong?

I have a 402 oil pan for my 1970 383 and noticed when I was filling it the first time @4 qts it was showing over full !!!! when I ordered the new dip stick it only showed 1 for the motor I had read that it should hold 4 in the pan and 1 in the filter.

dip stick from seal to tip is 22-1/2 long 20 to fill and 20-3/4 to add is this the right stick?

I’ll check the length on my ‘71 383 w/402 pan today.
