The other day one of the door glass slides broke and jammed in the steel window guide. Of course the window was DOWN so getting it all apart was a lot of fun to say the least.

Anyway, I need a replacement plastic slide for the door glass on a '70 Challenger. Does anyone know of a good source for this part? It is maybe 1 1/2" roughly square and made of plastic, original color is a whiteish-green I'd say.

The only place I found that had a part that appears to be what I want is Year One. The part is $8 a piece, and THEN they want another $20 to ship a plastic part that may weigh an OUNCE. Typical BS from Year One. I'd prefer NOT to do business with them.

Any suggestions/help would be welcomed. TIA!

If they are getting brittle you may want to buy a kit from Roseville & replace all of them .

We carry the glass guides at $2.50 each. I could put one into a regular envelope and I cannot imagine shipping in a regular envelope would be over a dollar within the US.

A lot of companies shipping small parts will put them in a large box to prevent loss. Harder to lose a 12" x 12" box in shipping, than an envelope.
In the grand scheme of things since you have the assembly out anyway, why not reassemble with known, good parts. Seems like a no brainer. JMO.

You should start a wanted thread if you are looking for parts.

Sorry, maybe I should have put it in a different place, but originally I was just asking others if they knew of alternative sources (other VENDORS) of this part other than Year One which has grossly inflated shipping charges IMO. Please forgive me.

No problem. We give (moderators) give wanted threads a little lee way as far as conversations go. The best thing to do if you are looking for parts, used or repop, is to start a wanted thread.
