Dougs D451 header install ??

I’m trying to install some Dougs headers in my challenger. 440 auto with p/s. Has anyone installed these? Trying to get the engine up enough to get the drivers side header in and am hitting between the block and the steering shaft. I’m guessing I have to remove the shaft? Of course the instructions just say to lift the engine 1-2” and slide em right in.

As memory serves.....I was helping my buddy install a set a while back. We ended up taking the coupler apart on the steering shaft. His didn't have a steering wheel installed yet so you could slide the shaft up enough to make up the room. He put a billet joint in place of the factory set up. Again, going by memory. But, if that's where you're tight, I believe it will work out....A pic or two would help as well.
