Flip Top fuel cap

[R/T 71]

My 71 R/T has a flip top cover but no fuel cap. I have looked everywhere to find a cap that works. Just a plain fuel cap. Anybody out there having the same issue? When I bought the car, it had a trashed locking cap with "753" on the top. I saw where some have used the "Stant 10571" locking cap, but that did not come close to working. I'm not interested in paying a ton for NOS or original pieces. Any help appreciated.

Any cap that the cover will close on works.

My original one I have is vented and I think I bought a repop with a vent on Ebay. It does not have the red lettered plate but other than that appears the same vent wise.
I believe there is one like I bought in the link Leo has sent you.
The non vented one looks the same as the original with the little red lettered plate.

I've been trying to find one for years as well. I have a disassembled factory cap under the flip-top but it still won't twist tight.

They are quite tight to turn closed.
No idea what your problem is.
