I snugged up the rear bumper fairly tight to the body on my 73 Challenger by modifying the brackets.

I now plan to do this on the front. What reasonable options do I have? I figure I can purchase 70-71 brackets or modify the existing 73 brackets drilling new holes. Not sure if my 73 bumper bolts up to the 70-71 brackets though. Any suggestions welcome - thanks in advance. Car is ready for buffing now that the 1500 grit wet sanding is done - arms are ready to fall off.

I personally did this to my 74 Chall but it was in 81 so I can't recall exactly how I did it , I belive I used the 70 brackets , but the bumper needs to come in about 1.25" so you should be able to tell if the 73 brackets can be altered to fit easily .
