I have to install the aftermarket water-valve into my Gen-III conversion. On a 6.4, which hose is the output, and which is the input? Besides that, does it matter which hose is used to regulate the water in or out of the core? Is stopping the water in either hose, doing the same thing?

Thanks, Mike.

i don't know about direction on a Gen-III conversion... but you want to stop the water from entering the heater core not on the way out

Coolant flows into the top of the radiator and flows down through the cores to cool. The thermostat is always mounted at the top.
