If you did another car project, what would it be?

I know a lot of members already have a line up of projects, but what will it be, or is there a dream project that you would like to do? Does not need to be an E body, or a Mopar for that matter. In my case, realistically I'll end up doing one for the wife. She has taken liking to 1964-65 Ford Rancheros. I actually speak Ford fluently, so not a problem there. As for myself, if I did not do a pickup of some sort, it would be another Challenger. This time it would be a '72-74 in F7 green. I would do a flat hood, base car look, and even do steel wheels with dog dish caps. My first Challenger was a '72 F7, so that is the attraction there. The engine would be open to a third gen Hemi, or something like a turbo 318. Whatever I did would kind of be a budget car as more of a driver.

I just finished a 1969 Charger. I never want to do that again! The glass was a total pain in the ass. On top of that the parts I needed cost so much it was insane. The interior was blue and it was missing stuff like seat belts and a few parts here and there. Well, come to find out all of the replacement stuff you can buy only come in black so you have to dye them! I can see why there are so many Chevys and Mustangs out there.

One of these days my Road Runner will be painted so that’s my very next project, besides the maintenance of the 2 drivers and my old work van. It seems as though there’s never a shortage of projects on an older restoration or an unrestored car, right? Anyway here’s the RR which I’ve been told should be painted soon.

This is the next project.
I’m very excited to turn this one back into a driver before doing anything cosmetic.

I want to do a Superbird.
Then an A12 SuperBee.
Next would be a 70 Plymouth Fury GT V code.

But those are waaay up in value compared to my old dirty barracuda's.

Would like to get a 64 Sport Fury or 65 Satellite convertible to work on. 4 speed big block- fantastic. The 426 wedge engine would be a bonus but would settle for an original big block/stick or automatic with a 383 or even a 361.
Either one would help me achieve my Mopar bucket list!

A 69 or 70 Charger, if I could find a good deal. But lately I have been thinking it takes me around 5 years to go through a car or truck, but I could re-do an old Harley in 1 or 2 years... this one is not mine.

An old Harley would be great! Specially with suicide shifter and a kick start,

Coming along.....,
Is that front clip a recent score, or did it just get restored?
Looks great!

Restored original sheet metal. I am trying to get it drivable; so I rewired the whole truck. Engine/ alternator harness, lights, gauges, fuel pump, etc. Since the battery mounts to the left inner fender, and the radiator shell, and fenders all support each other I needed to assemble them just to mount the battery, and I only wanted to do it once... I will do the doors next, then I can drive it from storage to my house and work on the rest of it.

If I had the room (which I do - more on that later) I would built a very clean, very classy Ratrod as my 1st choice. 2nd choice would be a late 60's Dart with a 383 - four speed - with a raised street suspension. Very much liken to the times around then (hi-boy). Lastly, but not leasely, a Thunderbolt clone. Something about that teardrop hood...

I mentioned a 64 Sport Fury or 65 Satellite as possibilities above.
You can buy one almost complete for not much more then a project e body (exceptions are of course the 426 wedge or early hemi cars)
Found this one for around 30K with a 361 BB

Just goes to show you how expensive our e body cars have become!

I might take a stab at this $7500 '69 AMX. The original 390 is gone. And someone put a 6 cyl in it long ago. Body is nice. But would make an excellent SS project. 390 2-4 barrel. Solid lift cam at 12.5:1 compression. Just as the SS version of '69. But with today's suspension and gear options? That 3000 lb beast would scream.
