Hi guys, I am buying a '71 cuda and I have a question. The inner fender it is wire weld in the suspension tower. Look the pictures.

The seller has said that since '70s some Mopars were leaving the factory with wire weld, in place of traditional spot weld. Could anyone confirm this story?

Thanks

Looks like the inner fenders have been replaced. Post pics of the complete inner fenders.

I can't see the front of the inner fenders but they look like aftermarket pieces. The steering column is a 1970 unit. What's up with the rest of the car? Is it decent or a mix matched car?

I've personally never seen any Chrysler product plug welded together at the factory. Spot welds it was.

The seller needs to get his head out of his ass and come clean with the fact these have been replaced. It won't hurt the value of the car unless it's been a bad replacement and you'll have to do it again.
