Hey all, first post. I promise I searched first and didn’t see anything to answer this. I have a 73 Barracuda, completely restored with a 318 engine for daily use. Decided it didn’t frighten me enough so my buddy (Local Mopar specialist) and I bought a wrecked 2014 SRT-8 6.4 which we will be retrofitting into my baby so she can make me pee a little when I step on the gas.
My question is this: is there a way to use the independent rear suspension from the SRT-8 (existing modification to buy for drop in) in my 73? In my (confessed brief) searches it looks like there’s a wheelbase length issue? My local guy hasn’t tried it before and is looking as well but with the knowledge here I figured I’d get a faster answer. I’m hoping to use as much of the SRT to upgrade my baby to a modern handling machine.
Thanks and sorry for the book of a first post!

I believe there are aftermarket chassis/suspension upgrades that are more "E-body" ready? And possibly superior than factory Challenger. (But also more $$ than what you may have in hand.) And of course plenty of engine upgrades to keep it more "Period looking." But if "New in Old" is your path? Throw progress and updates as you proceed.
