i found this connector not connected and the wire just there. any idea what they're supposed to be connected to?

What car and year are you working on and what are the options? Looks like a lot of splicing and taping going on with the wiring, so be sure to check out ALL of your connections and wiring. That reddish wire just below that connector you are holding in the first pic looks to be melted.

That is part of the wiring for the AO1 Light Package delay circuit sub harness.

In regards the delay.....which lights stay on for the delay?

So far I have the Light Console light stay on. Which others are supposed to delay?

The delay light circuit drives:

1. The title light. (That is the added fixture mounted to the light bar on the left side for the switch panel.)
2. The key light.
3. The map light.

my car is a 70 challenger. i'm hoping to install my new wiring kit from american auto wire soon. i just realized i've decoded the vin but not all the items on the broadcast sheet so i don't know what options it originally had other than it was born a 318 car.

That little metal cylinder is the flux capacitor, right?
