Need to replace the dimmer switch...what needs to come off?

Does the light bar need to be removed first? the whole cluster need to come out?

Yes light bar, then I think 4 screws 2 top 2 bottom on the switch bezel. Unhook the wires and should come out without removing the gauge cluster. You could do it from backside but a real PITA.

I would tape the woodgrain panel if it has ralley gauges , it is easy to scratch the surface trying to slide the switch panel out of the corner
