Hello,

I just recently inhertited a 1971 Barracuda from my uncle. It needs a little work so I will probably have questions for the board.

Along with it came a few parts that I'm looking to sell. At this point I don't know the value of the stuff I have. Is there a place on the board where I can post what I have and ask what people think the value is? Or is this frowned upon? I know classified ads have to have a price so I don't want to post it there.

Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to the site.
No, selling parts is not frowned upon, by no means.
But folks here like to know a little about their new members. A couple of pics, a few stories......

yeah! let's see the barracuda!
How about a fender tag readout.

You can post a WIW, what's it worth thread. Several of us will gladly give you our opinions.

Welcome from Colorado!

1971 is the most favored year so some of us may want to see what you might sell in the future.

Thanks for all the replies. Here are a few pictures. My Uncle bought it 25 years ago in pretty rough shape. He had it stripped to bare metal and painted professionally. It is an original 318 car, but now has a mildly built 360, although it hasn’t started in about 12 years. He must have had the fender tag removed for the bodywork and never put it back on. I haven’t been able to find it yet. I do have the broadcast sheet, although it’s hard to make out. It appears to be a factory A/C car.

Is this a good place to post pictures of the parts I need values on? (FYI, the hood and wheels on the car are also for sale)

Thanks,
Mike

There are enough people watching this thread to get some opinions. But for more folks to look at it you would probably want to post a separate thread with WIW in the headliner.

Awesome car! What are the rims and tires? Can't quite make out what they look like and what size they are.
Fiberglass hood? Or metal hood with fiberglass scoop?

You can have another fender tag made since you have the build sheet.
Any chance of better pictures of the build sheet? Hard to make out with the discoloring and I can't zoom it much without distortion.
Sweet car!
I'll bet the motor will start with some minor details.

Thank you.

The wheels are 15”, below are some pictures. I also have a set of two aluminum 14” slotted wheels.

The hood is all fiberglass. Here is another picture of the build sheet, it’s still very difficult to read unfortunately.

Thanks,
Mike

that is a hard one to read. Why is it so discolored?
At least you have one for your car. The only one I've found is in 5 zip lock bags. the largest piece is about the size of a quarter.

I’m not sure why it’s so faded.

I’ve never had a car that had one, so this is progress for me!

Thanks,
Mike

Here is a copy of a new one. Hopefully you can clean yours up, scan it and then sharpen the details.
:welcome: aboard. Nice color. OLD tires.
