Hi there, I thought I would introduce myself as I am a new e body owner and will be spending a lot of time on this forum while I am working on putting my car back to its former self.
I am a professional firefighter in Western Canada and am a big Mopar guy; I have previously restored a 66 Coronet 500, a 68 charger, 56 Dodge Regent, 69 D100 (for my 18 year old) and a 70 d100.
I never should have sold my 68 charger, but I have just bought a 1973 Challenger to get back into the Mopar world!
This car is my first E body so I will have lots of questions while I poke away at it.
Here is a bit of a history on the car; it is an extremely well optioned car of its day.

1973 challenger 340 car (now has an earlier 383 in it)
4 speed manual pistol grip
Brite Red exterior, white/black interior, white vinyl top
Rallye package
Woodgrain console and dash
Bucket seats
dual racing mirrors
sport hood
trunk lamp
hood/fender turn signals
louvers
roof drip rail mouldings
dual exhaust
tachometer
chrome exhaust tips
longitude black stripes
canada specs

The car is a decent driver, but is tired. The interior is pretty much original but in great shape; the headliner is getting delicate and will need replacing.
The exterior had some weekend warrior rust fixes a long time ago and was repainted a darker red; vinyl top was removed.
The underside of the car is in amazing condition and solid which is great.
The long term plan for me will be to put repair the minor body problems properly, strip and repaint the car in the factory correct colour, and add the white vinyl top back, over time.
I might even track down a period correct 340 to rebuild and drop back into it in future.

Anyway, thought I'd give some background on myself and the car, and I will fire away with all of the E body questions I have!

The rims will be the first to go and it will get 14” period correct Rallye rims and white letter tires.
The paint is not nearly as good as it looks in the photos; has dust in it, etc.

Welcome to the site from mid Michigan. Very nice looking '73! The white interior and white vinyl top with the red exterior is great color combination.

Are you a wildfire firefighter?

Welcome and nice ride. I have a set of 14" Rallye wheels that I will probably never use.

Pretty cool car I like it, and would have no problem driving as is.
