Hello e-buddies.....can someone tell me why there are two styles of these male connectors?
I know that the factory males had the little tabs on the back. They align the connector into little notches in the connector body. I have a nice tool aid crimp tool that crimps both wire and insulation at the same time, but I had to Notch the die to allow for that tab. Is there a Factory style crimp tool that will crimp both insulation and wire for the connectors with the tab?

I don't know of a specific crimper or die, but I I'm pretty sure Au-Ve-Co sells them either way, breaking out between Chrysler and GM and accomodating different wire gauges. They're filthy cheap, too... like fifty cents for a box of 10,000 or something. 😁

Seriously, I think the last box of 25 cost me about $5.

I used several crimpers, one is cheap and one isn't but in order to get a proper crimp I believe I need them both.

This is the expensive one

This is the cheap on (usually use this one first to start the crimp, then the other one to finish it0
