I have a green console that has a plastic loop installed on the right side. Has any one ever seen any other ones that may have this sort of thing installed or is it something that's been added.

Come to think about it, reminds me of a hang on for dear life strap for the passenger when driver opens up the four barrel and holds the throttle down for a while. Who knows what somebody was thinking drilling a hole in a pretty decent console.

On my car it holds up the seatbelt release from falling down in between the seat and console.

I would like to see if there would be any interest in the console if I moved it to the parts for small section being in good condition and being green in color. Thanks fly"NFISH for an answer.

It always amazes me when I see all the consoles at swap meets and on this site including my small collection of 5, where are all the cars they came out of.

Unfortunately they’ve all been recycled a couple of times over by now.

I actually like the look without the console, just the pistol grip. I eliminated mine, of course on an original car I wouldn’t have.

I use to be a console fan, but I agree with you about the non-console look. The consoles of the day were flimsy and tented to rattle.

When I was a little younger 4 speeds is all I would drive, now a little older my left knee is better off with a slapstick, not as much fun!
