How can you tell an original rallye wheel trim ring from all the repops? I have a set of rally wheel that were on my 1972 cuda when I bought it. Each wheel has a pentastar stamped on it, but the trim rings have nothing.

Assuming you have 14" rallyes, the trim ring should look like this.

They will fit tight to the wheel edge The reproductions are for the 15X7 and have a gap due to the 1/2 inch space difference.

The 15X7 ring will leave a gap between the ring and the wheel lip.

I think I might have a set of original 15 by 6.5 wheels and trim rings.

They look correct. They were on Cordobas, 75-79 Chargers and a few other cars.

I had seen the trim rings on ebay. My question is still how can you just say they are original by looking at a pic on the web??
