Afternoon all, I'm installing my rear sway bar on my 72 Barracuda. It came off of the car so I know it should go back on. I'm having problems bolting the bushings on the long bolt. There is no thread to screw the nut on. If I squeeze the bushings together i can see the threads on the bolt. I'm working on my own so short an extra hand. any suggestions???
It looks like there is only one way to put the sway bar on. Right or wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Is the rear hanging down? Try jacking up one side, might get you closer. Do you have the correct hardware?

^^ This.. sounds like the car is on jackstands, maybe at the frame rails? If you have another hack, slowly lift from the center of the rear axle until you can engage the threads on both sides. You should not have to lift so far the car comes off the jackstands.
