We purchased a 74 challenger and are in the process of a rotisserie restoration and modern updates .
It is getting a 2013 5.7 hemi with a Keisler TKO 5 speed for the powertrain. We using factory efi using a 6.1 intake .It has factory ecm and hotwire harness purchased from Modern Muscle for the engine and a Ron Francis harness for the rest. TTI headers and using a Tanks in tank module on a factory tank for the efi pump just finished tig welding that in today.
Have done extensive body panel replacement to it. It has new AMD full quarters , one piece trunk ,extensions ,inner-outer wheel housing ,front fenders, hood ,trunk deck lid , inner fenders, new upper cowl , one floor patch on driver front with 4 speed hump added.
We are converting it to a 70 style tribute with new rear panel and grill ,70 style bumpers etc.

Thanks, try to add pics as I go with it.
Here is a shot of the rear ,it' great that AMD makes these panels.
Also ended up putting on new outer rockers on it too . Have all the major body panel work done now.
Working on mounting the hydraulic clutch and running the wiring, fuel lines etc. to figure out what holes will get welded up and smoothed .
Trying to get it mocked up and running before any paint goes on.

Nice project and welcome to the site. Sheet metal work looks good. How did all that AMD sheetmetal fit together?

Nice project and welcome to the site. Sheet metal work looks good. How did all that AMD sheetmetal fit together?

It took a massaging and lot of trial fits using sheet metal screws, but the one panel that gave me fits was the right side quarter panel at the quarter/deck lid .
I did end up cutting and moving the quarter over to get a good fit in that area.
I like to use the tig welder for the sheet metal ,it gives a very strong weld.

Had to enlarge the opening in the core support/radiator area for a 26" core.
Made custom metal pieces to strengthen. Wanting to make caps for the upper support and these pieces to run and hide the front wiring in.

Looks good! I'm working on getting my 1970 Challenger Resto Mod completed! We are putting a 5.7 Hemi out of a 2007 Truck, then adding a 6.1 intake, SRT manifolds, and a Super Charger. We are going to be ordering the Suspension from Magnum Force. I look forward to seeing your completed project! Challenger.jpg

Looks like you are off to do things right. Great.
I see you are using the stock K frame, and that you have enough room to remove the oil filter?
Are you adding extra support to the radiator frame to help minimize front end flex?
I don't know why AMD products seem to regularly cause fit problems.
Waiting to see and hear about mounting the clutch. Hope it goes smoothly.
Please let us know what/where you grind and smooth on the intake to make it work right.

Thanks !! I had to order an angle oil filter adapter for a 6.1 and notch the k-frame.
Not sure yet on the radiator support , but do want to add frame connectors for sure.
Right now working on running wiring and mounting the pcm and fuse panels.
I will double check , but believe the 6.1 intake ports should match up to the 09 and newer eagle heads.
