hello and thank you in advance. I am finally getting my six pack back from restoration. It’s been years since I have installed an intake and never done one on a sb. I have a set of intake gaskets that came with the engine gasket set. I am assuming I should be using black RTV on the areas without a gasket? Do I RTV the gasket down then RTV it to the intake? Sorry if this is dumb just want to make sure I am doing it correctly

I would dry fit it with the gaskets and look for gaps. If the heads & intake haven’t been milled it should be fine. The gaps at the ends of the valley should have cork like gaskets, and you should only need a little rtv in the corners. You can rtv down the cork end pieces to prevent them from slipping. Some guys throw em away and just use rtv; I have never tried that, and prefer to use the pieces.
