Steering wheel adapter

Looking for suggestions on how to mount a 9-hole steering wheel adapter to an original Factory 3 bolt Crush can

can you not just press the studs out and drill some new holes or make you a adapter to go between your wheels

PS I need the can nuts if you don't use them!

I don't know.
That was a thought, but I just didn't know if it would somehow change the way the wheel or column works, etc....
Guess will have to get an old can and give it a try and see what happens...
The new wheel has self tapping allen screws....

any thoughts on that?
