I used 1/2" bigger material to sub frame my Challenger. I need to exit the exhaust to the side. Cannot exit rear due to Jaguar rear end will not let anything larger than 1 5/8" through it. Have full length headers ,want to use X pipe to a single muffler transversely mounted with side exits. I have heard of flattened exhaust being used in Nascar.
I would like to know who might handle that product. I believe it will allow side exit without looking like a sewer pipe.
Anybody have better ideas ? I would like to hear them.

I was going to suggest the same thing , oval pipe , an internet search should reveal a supplier , I would start with Jegs or Summit racing

It just seems like such a spcialized product. You may be right. I will check with Summit and Jegs.
Thanks.

You could go zoomie style. Individual pipes allow more flexibility.

I don't know why pics posted twice.
I really like the idea but the car will be used on the street so I neeed a muffler. In 1970, T/A Challengers were designed to run a transverse muffler with side exit pipes. I'm trying to get that same configuration. Summit says they have a 24" wide muffler I can mount sideways. I am going to look into that. I think I have just enough room for the muffler . He said that 24 inches included the brackets. So....maybe???
Thanks.
