Sun Visor Adjustment / Replacement

Hopefully and easy question just something I am missing. I have removed the sun visors in my 1970 hardtop, and purchased new they are on the metal rod with new tips everything is great. Question - How do you tighten them to keep from falling down?

The Legendary sun visors are very nice quality....however the sleeve insert inside the sun visors is a bit too large for the factory rods.....one long and one short.
I some how need to squeeze the sun visor without doing any damage to the material.
I am certain someone else has been through this same scenario.
Please let us know how you resolved this.
I re-installed and mocked up the sun visors as explained....these are way too loose, when you shut the door with minimal force....the sun visors both fall.
