Tail panel on 72 cuda, remove for paint

The tail panel on my cuda is a gloss black, I want to redo to a less glossy black. Not sure how to remove the tail panel, would do a better job if I could remove it. Any help would be great.

It is welded in place. Many spot welds. Not something you can remove and put back in without welding. Try some rubbing compound to knock down the gloss. Otherwise sand, mask, and repaint.

I used this on my Challenger. It has the right amount of sheen, imo. And being a urethane paint it will not chalk up, and last a long time.. plus you will have a lot left over for axle housings, suspension parts, etc.
