Hello, any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got a 1970 Challenger RT 440-6pack with rallye gauge package. The temperature gauge has not worked on the car since I purchased it. What are a few of the things that could be the issue?
Thanks,
Larry

Have you checked to make sure it's plugged into the sending unit. It's in the water pump housing. The unit it self. Could even be your gauge. Take a look a the wiring as well.

Mine didn't work and it was a broken wire back near the firewall. Trace the wire from the sending unit back to the firewall connector. Unplug it and used an ohm meter to check continuity from one end to the other at the gage. Sending unit should have a specific resistance between the connection and the threaded base. It should change resistance when you heat it. besides that, it is a ground issue on the block or gage, or bad gage.
