I remember the night my parents were worried a year ago. One night,an ex boyfriend of mine and I went to a bar to have a few drinks. We were both drunk and he wanted to drive home.Looked at him and said lets have my mom pick us up.This was a smart move on me.He said no and I tried to stop him from doing.Got in and a huge mistake. He was doing good until he was swerving around a little bit, this was in his car.He saw a car go through and thought he was clear, was wrong.Slammed in the driver's of the car killing the guy in the car.I felt my chest hurting and was bruised up good.I could not get out of the car, firefighters had to get the jaws of life out to open the door.I was yelling out my chest hurt and pain pain from my left knee.My ex boyfriend's injuries were worse than mine, neck and shoulder injuries.Paramedics got me out first rushing me to the hospital. My parents they were worried and got to the hospital right away getting the phone call, they thought I was dead on arrival. The ER doctor did calm them down and told them about my injuries.Found out I had 4 broken ribs and needed surgery on my left knee.Torn a couple ligaments in my left knee.Visited me the next day and told my parents he didn't listen to me.They said I tried and was not my fault.I was in pain and had the knee surgery after I was released by a specialist. It took 6 months to heal up one step at a time.Had help and support from my family and friends through it all.My daughter and two sons were glad they have me in their life still. My ex boyfriend, doing 25 years in prison for vehicle manslaughter and the injuries he did to me.It made me think twice to,don't get in a vehicle with a drunk driver.

Sorry to hear about the fatality, glad you are well now. I bet that was an experience you will never forget.

Never feel cornered by anyone, if you don't feel right about a situation, just walk away, you don't owe nothing to nobody! Guess you know that now.

While in the hospital,I knew to dump this ex of mine too.I will never forget it.Did have to do rehab on the knee too.The ER doctors said I was very lucky to come out alive, said they get the dead on arrivals most of the time.

Family and Friends helped out too.Good thing is I have a great boyfriend I met in December now.He is smart, does not drink and drive and we have a designated driver on hand everytime.

Well if your going to have designated drunks and go out, then
Yes designated drivers are a good idea.
