intrigues me and is one of the reasons I find the parts just as interesting as the cars.
2 one year only bezels for a ‘70 Challenger with what had to be a change to address what was likely an issue discovered after production began at some point. I’m thinking either the bulb was too close to the plastic and it began to deform it or the bulb needed to be raised a bit to better light the hvac controls below. That’s it, just thought I’d share an observation.:cool:

You sure one isn't for standard & one for rallye dash? Can we see them from the top?

I also see one is from a convertible. Maybe the switch wiring interfered with the light?

Same part numbers, they’re identical except for the added ribs visible in the top 2 pics.

Another thing to consider is who the part suppliers were. Normally good practice to have more than one in case of a supplier having problems with parts manufacturing., Sometimes slightly different.
