When I bought my 73 cuda 340 I was told it had a warranty block in it and that it was installed 1 year after new. Was not that important to me when I purchased the car but I an curious.
How do i confirm this from the photos below ? These pictures were taken prior to engine rebuilding.
Thanks for any information.

It's in the first picture at the bottom of the block between the freeze plugs just below the water drain. Usually the vin number is stamped there. I'm not sure if a warranty block will be blank or have some other form to identify it as a warranty block. I'm sure one of the experts will chime in about that.

If it is a warranty block, that machined pad above the pan rail will be blank.
