What does this part go to?

I bought a e body parts lot and found this while going through things. I do not if it even is for an e body . It looks like a hood or trunk latch, but nothing I am familiar with. It does not match anything for my 70 Challenger conversion, and does not look like anything from my 72-74 Challenger parts. Anyway, just curious.

cuda trunk latch... the key is way offset to the right side of the car

I'm pretty sure that's not a cuda trunk latch, as it looks like the release rod goes straight down.
It might be Chrysler, could be GM as well, I'm thinking something with the hood release between the grille and the front bumper, C or B body maybe?

ah yeah, good point... i didn't notice the rod pointed down... i should look more closely next time

After much searching, I may have the answer. I found this on eBay. It is listed as a 1971 only B body hood latch.
