Hi guys,

I havent postet much yet, much because I never owned a Mopar - until now.
Since one month I am proud owner of a 70s Challenger R/T over here in Germany.

You guys in the US have the luck that it is much more uncomplicated to buy and own such a nice vehicle. Anyway I am very happy with my new beauty and I will take good care of it :D

Unfortunately the history of my Challenger is very incomplete and I would love to know more about its history.

My hope is, that someone of you Mopar guys knows something about it or a previous owner or at least you can give me some advice how to go with that.

About the car itself - some tag numbers:

E63: 383 cid 4 barrel V8 H.P. 335hp - still in the car
D13: 3 Speed Manual Transmission-Floor Shift - converted to 4 spd Hurst shifter
EK2: Go Mango Exterior Color - repainted once
HRX9: Trim - High, Leather Bucket Seats, Black - seems to be new
318: Build Date: March 18
EK2: Go Mango Top Color
A01: Light Package
A62: Rallye Instrument Cluster Package
A63: 70 only Challenger Moulding Group
C16: Console w/Woodgrain Panel
G36: OS Dual Racing Mirrors
J45: Hood Tie Down Pins
J54: Sport Hood
N41: Dual Exhaust
N42: Chrome Exhaust Tips
R22: AM Radio with 8 Track (10 Watts) - has been converted
V68: Longitudinal Stripes, Deleted - preowner added them
Y05: Build to USA Specs

The Preowner added the Go-Wing.

What I know about the history:
As far as I see from the title the preowner (Randy R. from Huntington Beach, CA) bought it January 2017 from Marietta Tomchik - Sports Car Gallery of Beaver Falls, Inc, PA.
Unfortunately the company is closed permanently and the e-mail account is not active anymore.
The preowner said that he bought the car back in 2006 (thats an inconsistency with the title) and put a good amount of money in it. It seems that it has been a bigger restauration at that point.
The body seems to be very good, it only get a new trunk floor welded in.
The car has been repainted with the original colour about 15 years ago.
The interior has been renewed about 10 years ago.

The car has been imported (for you exported ;)) by a german salesman.
Due to that I dont have any contact data of the preowner. All I know is that he moved from CA to Idaho a few month ago.

Maybe someone can help me or know that car - that would be really great.

So long

Welcome from New Jersey
Nice Challenger you purchased.

You may want to try contacting the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles who might have title transfer records on your car.
Vehicle Services
Also try the California DMV who could have some records.
Keep in mind each state has different privacy laws about releasing private vehicle ownership information.

Secondly, do a name search on the dealer owner: Marietta Tomchik - Sports Car Gallery of Beaver Falls, Inc, PA.
I just put in the name and information comes up on this person.
Could be a link to getting some more information on your car from the dealership owner?
.

Information on the business owner on this website Marietta Tomchik - 2 Public Records Found

Good luck with your information search.

Hey guys,

Iam glad that you like that car like I do.
So thanks for the compliments. :D

The first thing I did was checking the Hamtramck registry but there are no entries for my VIN.
I will try to contact Barry like you said @challenger6pak

I will also try to contact the DMVs and hope they are able to help me.
Thanks to you @paharamia

Meanwhile I try to find the Tomchik folks on social media.

Its my first time that I try to find personal data about someone from the US in the web and its crazy what you can find on some data crawler
Complete criminal history, former places of residence, relatives and stuff.
Iam not used to that amount of personal data in the common German webspace.

Thanks again to all who are willing to help me Mopar newbe.
