I'm looking to upgrade my bucket seats on my '70 Barracuda. I just need something more comfortable in my old age and to hold me in place. I was looking at the Procar by Scat or Corbeau seats. Both have some issues with height and backseat legroom. Anybody install any of these? I was thinking...
I installed a Moog idler arm and it was slightly shorter, so now it clears the header, with an eighth of an inch to spare. I still have the quick ratio pitman arm. Is the idler arm quick ratio? It doesn't say and the parts guy didn't have that info either. Would it make a difference if it...
I do have fast ratio arms. I will switch out, thanks. If the angle of the arms were slightly changed they would fit perfectly. Can't see that making any difference on how the car handles. Maybe TTi should make the new quick ratio arms, I would buy them.
Didn't have to remove the steering, lots a wiggling, but its in. But now the idler arm hits the header. I need a 1/4 to 1/2 inch more clearance. This just keeps getting more painful. I don't have the clearance to raise the engine. Is there a idler arm that is not so big? See picture attached.
I can't get the angle of the header to go up and in. The steering column is in the way. Starter is out, spark plugs out, moved the steering linkage out of the way, and raised the engine an extra inch and a half. I just need more height. Not sure if I want the car balancing on more blocks of...
Got it up another inch and half, that's it. Helped a little, but not enough. Don't really won't to remove the steering column. Anyone install these with just axle stands?
What is a good height to have the car to get these headers in? I managed to get the passengers side installed with some swearing, the car is about a foot and a half off the ground. Drivers side, no way. I'm not sure I can get it any higher. Wish I had a lift. It seems easy, when you watch the...
Just found this on the QA1 website:
Part #52308 (lower control arm) is only recommended for 1962-70 B-Body applications with no sway bar or E-Body sway bar and QA1 K-Member #52315.
Part #52308 (lower control arm) is designed to work with the E-Body sway bar and the 1971-72 B-Body sway bar...
I'm having a similar problem with the tire rubbing on the frame. Someone from cuda-challenger.com mentioned that the quick ratio idler/pitman arm could be the problem. Do you have this on yours? I haven't swapped mine out yet. I'm just waiting for my TTi headers to arrive, so I can install them...
Anyone using these? I am updating my front suspension and have mostly Hotchkis parts, except the lower control arms. I was thinking of getting the QA1 lower control arms. Are they stronger or better?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

First, I did not know there even was a "For E Bodies Only" site, glad you are here. I have used the "For A Bodies Only" site quite a lot in the past.
History: My first Mopar was a 1974 Plymouth Satellite with a 318, fun a but not quick enough. So I upgraded to a 4 speed Plymouth 1973 340 Duster...
I think I have figured out the problem. I could not get the bracket to fit on the spindle. But with a little grinding I can make it fit. I will take some photos as I go and post all of the results. I'm installing a front Hotchkis suspension kit as well, as the back is already done.
Has anyone installed this kit from Dr Diff? I am having a problem installing the bracket to the original drum spindle, on my 1970 Barracuda.
Any help would be appreciated.
