Sold car in 70s I was the second owner only bought it to find out if my 6pack car was faster it was. At the time owned 72 Pro Car cuda ,the Hemi car, and the 6pack car I bought new. Heard brothers own the car now but with diff. options than when I owned it.

I'm an old Mopar guy and remember your car. I live in CT and remember when Steve S. took ownership of it in the early eighties. he told us he paid $25k for it and we thought he was crazy but upon completion of the resto he sold it for $67k and we couldn't believe that either. he brought it to the Moroso show in CT. I think that was around 1984. Cool that you actually owned the car. hard to believe. I owned a 69 hemi charger and many 6 pack cars back in the day but nothing like your "holy grail".

Man you guys are old!:D

It was an amazing time. They were just old cars at the time and they were plentiful and cheap. My first car in 1978 when I was 16 was an A66 Challenger convertible which I paid $400 for. I purchased so many cars for under $1000. Hemi Charger for $700, 71 Shaker cuda for $300. Every month we would travel to the local junkyards in Norwalk and they would have new muscle cars being parted. It was a special time. Didn't know it of course. Then they became valuable and everything changed.

Yep, I got my license in the mid '80s and by that time the collecting had already begun and all I could do was watch with interest. My dad bought us a '68 Charger in '85 for around $3300. It was an original triple green 318 car that had a 383 Road Runner drivetrain transplant and a black paint job over some minor bad bodywork. It was a nice car and I had it for a long time.
