Has anyone ever built their own torque boxes? Looks like an easy thing to do and I'm a "dubber" so time is not an issue.
Thanks in advance.

I purchased a plasma cutter last week. I don't know how I lived 51 years without one. Pics of homemade torque boxes. Not pretty but should do the job. 003.jpg

Not the prettiest that’s for sure. Both sides are welded where I can get to both sides. Thanks for your reply! Any comments, good or bad, are constructive comments for me.

Hi.
My 73 Challenger Rallye that I purchased had new floor pans installed without the holes drilled in it for the seats. I assume that the hole is to be drilled in one of the three holes that are in the little gussets that are attached to the rockers. Which hole is ment for the seats? If I had a fully assembled door installed it may be easier to figure out. I am assuming it is the smaller center hole???
Thank you for your help!!! I read this site every day and I am learning soooo much about a passion I have had since I was a teenager.

1973 Newspaper addition Rallye. Getting ready to epoxy prime, seam seal then LizardSkin under the car and in the cabin and trunk area. Any tips for a novice? 012.jpg015.jpg017.jpg020.jpg022.jpg

Bill,

Newspaper is probably the worst paper you can use for masking. Newsprint will bleed through excessively when wet, contaminating the surface under the paper. Get some regular masking paper from your paint supplier. You will be happy you did. Otherwise she is on the way!

I'll get that done today Leo. Thank you! I Really appreciate the feedback! I live on the other side of the country from you Leo. I have a vision of driving this car across the country some day when I get it finished. I would love to show you "your car" some day Leo (LOL). My sister lives in North Cal.
Once again thanks so much.

Epoxy primed yesterday.
I had a question about the vapor seperator that has the 5 hoses attachments on it. Is this somehting that I am going to need? Obviously the Chassis book I have is telling me the way things were done in 1973. Can I use a vented gas cap?001 - Copy.jpg004 - Copy.jpg006.jpg010.jpg011.jpg019.jpg
