Greetings all.

Have owned the Challenger since 83. I believe i am the 2nd owner of it.
Car has been well cared for since I purchased it. ($1,200.00) WOW in todays numbers.

Car started life as a plane Jane 318 3 spd stick. with power nothing.
Thru the years it now has a 360LA. Power steering and power brakes were added.
Added:
Bulge hood.
4 speed (with pistol grip of course)
Tuff wheel

It is yellow with only the front passenger fender and the drivers door being repainted due to some issue prior to my ownership.
The remainder of the car is original paint.

Paint and body are currently acceptable (barely)
I am focusing on many mechanical (HP) improvements.
As name implies the car is going twin turbo.
Money is tight so it will be a long process. I am already about 2 years into it.
The main premise for me is that with all the upgrade items being added, I will NOT be cutting the car up to get there. Took awhile but the finite details are now located in my head.

When I get more familiar with this forum I will post up the build.

Regards,
Mike.

Welcome, nice car. The color looks like a cream color. Is the paint faded ? Y1 or Y2 yellow?

Thanks all.

The paint code is Y5.
They toned down the yellow for the 74 model year.

mopareo,
When I purchased the car back in 83 it was from a someone that lived in Riverside.
He sold it because he was commuting into Anaheim for work.

Mike.

Welcome, From another newbie so cal owner. Nice looking car. My code shows a GY4. I have searched the web for an image of another GY4. It appears the name of the color for 72 was Honeydew and I had no luck finding another one. Anyone with a photo of a clean GY4 would be appreciated

Is that your garage with the Rustang in it?

Hmmmm...

How do I reply to that one?

1) Ignore it
2) Answer yes with a reminder to use spellcheck and it is a no rust California car.
3) I take note of what forum I am posting in and reply with a simple yes and move on.
4) Be truthful, yes it is my wifes toy. My work her toy.
It is completed, so now it is time for mine to be improving.

LOL it's all good.

I was thinking the same thing. No such thing as a "rust"ang in So.Cal.
I did own a Plymouth "Ruster" with a slant 6 back in it late 70's. We also called it a "Dust Pan". That was in New England where the roads get heavely salted in the winter.
