Choke issue on 340 intake/TQ

I have a TQ on my 318 4bbl project and I do not have the correct heat stove for the carb/intake. We extended the rod on a 2bbl stove and it is not working correctly. I am wanting to just toss a cable on it by my father (partner in the resto-rod) wants it to have some sort of automatic choke. I got a 73' electric but it is different. Anyone know a cheap source for a choke that would get me working? I am an EFI guy so carbs are like voodoo to me at this point, hopefully I will get it figured out.

Whoops. I just noticed there is a fuel sub forum. If a mod could move this for me that would be great!
