Im planning on converting to console shift (auto). I've got most of the console shift stuff and associated linkage. What I'm not sure of is the column and what parts need changing to get rid of the shift lever collar. This is a P/S car. Any advice?

ti may be easier to just get the correct column , but you can swap the housing parts & eliminate the lever & sight . , the upper & lower outer housing will be needed & the sift tube inside the column will be different ,, 70 used this as an interlock , 71-74 used a spring in the housing with a tab to pull to release the key

Thanks everyone, I've got an outer tube and collar.
I was hoping to swap the rest of my stuff into it.
I can buy a complete unit with wiring and wheel locally for $400.00. Coin toss time.
