This wanky knob is loose. Tighten down outside nut it runs out of thread before it gets tight. Is there some nut inside door to tighten it up?

There is a flat piece of steel that goes behind the door panel. It makes it so that the nut can be tightened against the panel.

Got it...it's been a few years since I put this car back together and I could not remember what was behind the door panel but you jogged my memory. Thanks

You are welcome. Now can you find the part? That is always what I run into. I can get a pic if you need one.

Went to the local hardware store this morn and bought 3 different size C clips..one of them was the right size put it on and worked perfectly AND only had to take the door panel off partially. Problem solved. Those remote knobs were not the pinnacle of Chrysler engineering prowess.
