Hello all I am a new member and wanted to start off by saying aloha.
ive been in hawaii most of my life and have always had a passion for automotive and engineering.
I started off with air cooled Vw’s and 70’s Toyota’s in my early years and got bitten by the muscle car era of torque and axle snapping power. Although gm and Ford were quite popular in the area, there were quite a few mopar muscle cars lurking around.
I started off as the helper then technician, then body shop helper and labor. Lots of rusty cars and not much cash led me to acquiring the cheapest cars to be found. Busted knuckles and struggling to graft cars back together with what was available locally had its challenges and was the driver and motivation to understand more of the car craft.

The journey has led me to re invest in my education at Wyotech in the early 2000’s where I met the most amazing group of people, teachers and staff, as well as some of the most promising young minds and builders of the years to come.
i was finally surrounded by like minded people! Felt like home

Back in the islands again I began putting my new skills to work, mostly sheet metal and rust work, and a new found passion for painting. I enjoy restoration based builds as well as custom sheet metal work of chops, sections and channeling ,Ahhh I still have so much to learn lol. My life’s journey

We all like to see pictures here. :) We don't mind "in process" pictures. Glad you're saving another 70 Charger and have the skills to do so!

Thanks again X
time and persistence , and help from the community for sure
the car came in as a “quick repaint” and then we discovered about 4 paint jobs under the black bubbling paint, a lot of the paint was over unsanded or poorly prepped shiny paint
yeesh... that’s led up to a complete strip and re access the repairs.
pics to follow

Wow! Nice work! I hope the cowl and front of the radiator yoke got painted flat black sometime after your pictures. Most people are real sticklers for that! In fact you're sure to get some comments about it. But these folks on this website are great people.

I have had reservations in the past on posting my work online, but that’s what it’s all about, sharing and learning and repeat

I have room to grow and welcome the input.

The car had to be delivered prior to 100 percent complete, as I was/am still recovering from MVA, the owner has the car now and is doing a great job completing those little important things like you have mentioned.

thanks for the kind words

Finishing up these two and then back to the dirty work on the charger next

So far I have not had a mopar that I took apart and put back together yet.
Started with cars that were already in pieces and had the painstaking task of “where does this go”
and buckets filled with unlabeled parts 😢

bag em n tag em and don’t forget to take lots of pics as you go
