I'm including a video of my dash with what looks like previous owners remedy for a new stereo.
My car is 8 track, 3 speaker dash, rear speaker equipped.
It looks like some wiring was cut out from the drivers side eliminating the rear speakers and switch.
The switch and wiring are still there, but there is a chunk of the green, red, violet and blue missing on the left side towards the right side of the instrument panel by the radio.
Also, I haven't found the crossover either.
I'm including pics of the rear speaker switch, cut wires on both sides and dash.
I know somebody out there has seen this before.
I can follow wiring diagrams, and understand wire size and routing but this ones got me.
Other than that, my car is coming along pretty good.

Can't help you with the wiring, but in my '71 Challenger the crossover box is located on one end of the glove box liner.

Im not at home but I have the same set up on my car...there is a plug at the end of those wires right under the kick panel....then the lead goes back to the rear with the tail light harness if that makes sense??
