Negative Battery Cable ground wire location

Hi, I have a 1970 Challenger with the 318. The ground wire of the negative battery cable is bolted to the top of the core support by the side of the radiator. I saw a picture in Dave Wise's book on e-bodies and it looks like it should be bolted to the core support in front of the battery. Would anybody know the correct location?

The negative cable should bolt to the front of the left cylinder head and the smaller wire to the core support.

My "small wire" is on the core support in front of the battery. That's where it was when I bought the car in 1979
