72barracuda

Had this car since 79, drove it in High School and College, trying to get it back in shape. I have put about 100k miles on it myself. Ran into a few problems. Got an Eagle B2050230 stroker kit from Campbell. Ok so far. Used a Milodon windage tray with adj ht stud kit. Required mods near pick up tube and a little prying in places. ARP engine bolt kit was crap, Summit was good enough to refund. Stock oil pan from Van's was also crap, they refunded. Working with Kevko pan, pick up tube. Cut mounting tab off tube, not compatible with windage tray. Fit at rear of pan not good before tightening but may be OK afterwards. Haven't started engine yet, caught up in body and suspension work. Update 5-12-2013- Getting much further into this thing than intended, car is now just a chassis, at body shop getting underside stripped and coated, rust areas fixed. Taking a looong time. 11-17-13. A few months and many dollars later my car is back home after a near full up restoration on the body. Trying to put the many pieces back together. Update 2-15-15. A few issues really slowed me down- the Hooker headers and tranmsission cooling lines. Engine is FINALLY running, no sweeter sound than that. 4/302017- just read through this summary, didn't realize its taking so long. Wrapping up body work hoping for paint soon. I guess I still have more work to do.
