72 challenger 318,727 Headlights, high beams, front side markers not working.. taillights, brake lights, rear side markers work good. Dome light is good. Car runs good. Checked with tester and no power at headlights. Also no power at dimmer. Is it possible the dash switch for the headlights is...

I think that is the issue moparlee. I need to rotate it and then insert the bar. Wont get to it today. Will give it another shot tomorrow.

    Challenger sitting too low

The car was up in the air on jack stands. Frame supported. Suspension Hanging. The adjusting bolt was loose. One of the pic that shows the socket and arm is how the car was when I got it up in the air. The rear sockets are in good shape.

    Challenger sitting too low

Maybe the anchor key needs to move a couple notches counter clockwise and reinsert the bar... Looked under my '69 charger and it is in a different spot. Doug

    Challenger sitting too low

I finally got around to working on this. The driver side T bar was snapped. Swapped both driver and passenger and the car still sits low like it did before all leaning to the driver side.

    Challenger sitting too low

Ok will get them swapped out. I am betting the socket or something like that is an issue. This car is rusty and I mean rusty, this car has been weathered hard by the new jersey winters. I have plenty of rust repair to do so I am sure that is the issue. I am going to get it up in the air when I...

    Challenger sitting too low

I little while back I noticed my car starting to sag to the ground on the driver side. Well now it is like slammed to the ground. The brake system on the car is all new. I replaced the original shocks yesterday and the car does the same thing. The torsion bars looked fine and I didn't think it...

Engine/Trans swap into my 72 Challenger

My '72 Challenger has the 318/727 in it now and still has the driveshaft also. The car is all original. I have a 383/727 setup (still bolted together) I pulled from my '69 charger. I am going to remove the 318/727 and put in the 383/727 in the car. Going to reuse the driveshaft that is in the...

1972 Challenger with 727 slap stick auto

I am going to be pulling my 318/727 combo and swapping in my 383/727 combo and from what I have been told this should be a direct swap. I was wondering if anyone has a page from the service manual they could scan or a link showing the linkage parts under the car for the slap stick shifter. I...

Engine/Trans swap into my 72 Challenger

What kind of gas mileage difference should I expect going from the 318 2brl to the '67 383 2brl. The '67 383 2 brl now has a weiand intake and holley 770 avenger carb and headers. I hear of guys online getting 20mpg with the 318 2brl motor. I was thinking it would be like 15mpg with the 383. Of...

Engine/Trans swap into my 72 Challenger

Cool deal. Thats what I thought. But wanted to check before getting it all apart. As far as the radiator goes. The one is still in the charger it is being used to cool the 440 i built for it. The rad in the challenger is wider than the one in the charger, you think it will give me cooling...

Engine/Trans swap into my 72 Challenger

I got a 383/727 setup that was in my '69 charger. My '72 challenger has a 318/727 in it now. I was wanting to swap in the 383/727 into the challenger. From what I have read the headers that are on the 383 will work on the E body. My question is the length of the 727. Are they both the same? The...
