Thanks. I was hoping to score an "eagle" motor, but this one had such low miles, i couldn't pass it up.

We're getting close now. All that's left for the shop to do is put the vinyl top, rear window and rear valance in.

Looking for motor advice - 6.1 hemi or eagle 5.7

I'm going through this swap now and have not yet completed it, but have done a lot of work and have the engine and trans hooked together on a run stand (pre-Eagle 5.7 and 8HP70 Trans) to work out all the wiring kinks. What rearend ratio are you running? The 545RE, NAG1, 8HP70 all have...

That is truly a tragic story. My heart goes out to you and your son.

    '73 Challenger Resto-Mod | 1-31-2025 Visit to Restoration shop

Visited the shop again on 1-31-2025. The car is now down on it's wheels again, the rear valance has been worked and installed and we are expecting one more coat of primer before final spray. they also re-installed the fuel pressure regulator, so that task is out of the way.

Santa Came Early!!! Hellcat Redeye build with RMS suspension!!!

Mounting the radiator in rubber bushings is a way to reduce the loads on the radiator which improves life. Aluminum and soldered brass do not have an endurance limit. What that means is that the material will eventually fail no matter what load is placed on it. It may be years, decades, but...

Hemi swap using stock ECM-looking for help

Additional update. I did not know the history of the 2007 ECU that I purchased as I got it from Ebay. When I went into HP tuner, it was programmed as a 2007 Dodge Charger 5.7L ECU. However, it was throwing code P2533. I have a buddy at a local dealer and we tracked down that this error code...

392 Hemi dipstick with mid-sump pan?

I added 6 quarts to the Holley Mid Sump oil pan and the dipstick showed right in the acceptable range. It did not have to be re-marked.

Went to the restoration shop on Friday the 19th and was greeted by some great progress on the car. The quarter, trunk, rear valance and RR quarter are in primer and have been rough blocked.

392 Hemi dipstick with mid-sump pan?

I've got the Holley blackheart cast manifolds with ceramic coating. the dipstick barely clears the back of the longer starter, but it snakes almost directly up from the block. It attaches to the valve cover. I did have to do a little adjusting, but overall, I'm happy with the fitment. I...

392 Hemi dipstick with mid-sump pan?

I used the Holley dip stick. Holley Gen III Hemi Oil Dipstick and Tube Kits 302-74 purchased from Holley direct. it was about $40. it bolted up easily and like yours dropped in just between the last two cylinders on the drivers side. Had to punch out the factory plug on the block. it has a...
