try changing the oil filter since the pressure drop started since you changed the oil. and see if the OP comes back up.10 psi a@ 850 is to low in my option.is it a stock or HP pump?
I have a set of Indy 452 heads with less then 5000 miles and the guides are shot!! car started gulping oil (1 qt in 150 miles)
pulled the valve covers and all the umbrella seals were stuck up in the springs!!
I called Indy and the gal that I was talking to said - sometime the seals stick like...
if it is shutting down, most likely vaper locking due to the crampy ethanol fuel. I had the same thing here in FL when i got mine on the road. I ended up switching to a return fuel set-up and .250 insulators under all 3 carbs. also switch to non-ethanol fuel.
easiest way to check clearance is put the air cleaner on and a ball of Soft puddy on the top and close the hood slowly and see how much room you have for clearance.
it jumps past 2nd gear half the time. I took it out and cleaned and lubed it , no change. Looks like the lower slide is hanging up on the bottom end just 1st to 2nd
I am looking to upgrade the shifter in my 70 challenger. I put a new slapstick shifter in it during the restore 10,000-miles later its shot.is there anything out there that will allow me to keep my console mostly intact?
